PREPARING FOR
MEDIATION
Mediation is
your opportunity to present your perspective and state what you need to resolve
your dispute. You may find it
helpful to prepare a brief statement or checklist of your perspective. Depending
on the type of mediation you may be asked to submit a summary of the dispute.
Mediation also presents the opportunity to understand the perspectives,
of others that may be important in resolving the situation between you.
The mediator will want to hear about your views as to what created the dispute and any impasse that may exist, as well as ideas that will facilitate a full and open exchange, and possible proposals for meeting your goals.
You will be
asked to sign an agreement to mediate during the opening of the mediation.
The mediator will clarify for you both your role, the role of the
mediator and the role of an attorney or other participant.
Roundtable
and Conflict Management Consultants provides services at our offices in
Manchester and Nashua and at other sites mutually agreed upon by the
participants and mediator.
